Bonaire

We have sailed the first 400 miles going west in 3 days. Not much wind but smooth sailing. We picked up a mooring of Kralendijk and are happily awaiting Arnds mother and the diving here.

West

Tomorrow we'll start direction west, west and again west till South Africa. North-west to reach the Azores and then finally East to reach Europe. 21 months, 7 sailing, approx. 24000 miles (approx. 43200 kilometres) are still between us. That's our idea today. Tomorrow we'll start - finally sailing around the world?

The next 2 months

We'll sail to Bonaire to go diving and to meet Arnd's mother. It's one of the best diving sites in the Caribbean sea. Then the direction will be Curacao to go shopping and later Panama. It will be the same route that we took already in 2010. We'll try to arrange the Panama-Canal transit for the second week of January 2012, because our friends Thomas and Marianne from Bremen, Germany will be with us from end of December to end of January. That's our plan - let's see, if it will work out.
